The Fraud Sphere

I am simply infuriated at the lack of attention on world economic news in the news of late. Why is the media avoiding topics related to the factors of world economy, resources that effect world economy, and trade agreements connected to globalization? It's most often promoted as being desirable, and capable of benefiting developing countries all over the world. But this message is being funneled through back channels, by corporations seeking to make more profit, simply because labor and shipping, and material is cheaper to produce outside of the country that consumes their products.
Globalization and free trade go hand-in-hand. Those who are capable of benefiting from it, before those less in control can. It's so evident in all the matters at hand presently in our world, and especially in the U.S., where we have a passive government going after nations of smaller stature, who exist in areas of the world where not only are the resources of energy abundant, but also the labor is cheaper. I reference it back to the old relationship between the settlers of colonial America, and the Native Americans. It's the nature of those who have power to effectively take advantage of those less knowledgeable, thus rendering them less powerful. But, in our modern case, the knowledge is out there, but it is directly manipulated and hidden from public view. So the difference is we have a choice to unearth the myths of globalization, and get our piece of the pie, so to speak.
In a book by Thomas L. Friedman, titled, The World is Flat, Friedman discusses how globalization has leveled the playing field for all businesses, via better transportation methods, and the introduction of better information sharing. That's a great premise, but in reality, the year 200 came and went. Transportation globally is not competitive, and now with the ever-growing fear of terrorists, and high-level security, information which was 100% wide open, is now being redirected and hidden from the general masses (mind you only 10% of the world is "connected"). If we are so globalized, why can't I find out more about NAFTA, and it's arbitration, to build a super-highway across America, and why is the war in Iraq so damn oblique? The NAU-NAFTA Superhighway is so undisclosed in the media, this coverage was buried in the long boring hours of C-Span, when it is serious news effecting millions of American citizens. Why was this not news?
Control the mis-informed, and see how far that gets your economy big boys! Impeach Bush, and Cheney!
