Oil Hits $104 a Barrel

“America’s got to change its habits; we’ve got to get off oil,” President Bush said at a conference on renewable fuels. “Until we change our habits, there’s going to be more dependency on oil.” (NY Times article)
Words from our wonderful national leader, president G.W.! In the words of a friend of mine, when I showed him this quote, "he's a true butt pirate, that guy". We should have gotten off our worst habit ever: voting him back into office in 2004. But this is no shocker to me. To G.W. words will always save the day. With empty promises, and a ton of warnings of terror on the horizon, it's no wonder he can save face. I don't know Mr. Bush, but I'm sure there is a large percentage of people in this country who've thought of this decades before even your father was in office.
As far as oil prices are concerned, I've noticed that there is a huge disconnect between the Bush administration, and oil since the get go, yet in conjunction, everything that involves foreign affairs in his administration revolves around the topic of oil. Rising prices, the Middle East, and the Saudi royal family. I'm not convinced here, because I've already convinced myself. Do us a favor and help us kick the habit early, and resign, Mr. Bush!
