I just got finished reading an article about Bryan Fox, one of Nitro's snowboard team's newcomers. I basically just wanted to take a few moments to recognize how much he represents a small minority of folks out there who know how to find themselves amongst all the bullshit, and candy-coated reality checks out there in world. It's not only just about being true to yourself, but also being true the world around you, not by simple expression, but by laying it out there, and offering up the truth in opinion, that a lot of people these days are to wuss face up to.
Why is it that people can't give out their own opinions, and if they do, why are they so unconvincing, and seem to be, in the words of Bryan, "blowing sunshine up people's asses."? I'd say for the most part it's not sunshine we're getting, it's smoke. To tell you the truth, and to duly note, in my opinion, it's the reality of unwanted opinion that adds a little more flavor to everyday life. Like in the article, it's listening to, and challenging opinions that make life an adventure. If you're not doing so, by competing with conventional thought, then what's the point? How can one appreciate the good stuff in life, without having the harshness of reality to contrast it?
