It's completely baffling that President Bush is allowed to give speeches on foreign policy anymore. In my opinion it's as if he writes this stuff himself, and walks out to the podium without warrant, and without regard for international opinion. I'm absolutely willing to bet that the international community's leaders are laughing on the inside when they hear him speak. "This guy is completely off his rocker", they probably say. This is most likely what the international community thought of Hitler back when he rose to power.
If President Bush was directing his statements at Barack Obama, it proves that Bush is a global playground bully, unwilling to cooperate and talk with his enemies. It's been stated over and over that Iran has been more than willing to negotiate and have talks with the U.S., but the Bush administration has continued to ignore this process. Why? The whole reason why we don't get along is because U.S. leaders fail to consider talking, and handling foreign policy like responsible, mature adults. Oh, I forgot this is the Bush administration we're talking about. "Foolish delusion", Mr. Bush! Let's talk about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction! Let's talk about the "rough spot" our economy is doing! Let's discuss why we're still in Afghanistan, a country several times smaller than ours, yet 8 years later still haven't found the terrorist who instigated this so called "war on terror". Where is your war? What borders have you crossed? Just like everyone of your conservative compatriots, you ignore all equations to create peace in this world, and when someone considers the only alternative, you are first to strike out with more delusion, to persuade voters that people who can make peace happen, are just as evil as Hitler. I'm sorry but you're an absolute delusionist, Mr. Bush, and a failure. Without negotiation, we fall into the same feat from which Israelis suffer; the tit-for-tat battle of vengeance over beliefs. Hitler did not negotiate either, he simply waged war, and occupying country after country in Europe. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? Eight years into a war/occupation against terrorist harborers in Iraq, a military presence still in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait, and now making an attempt to incite Iran, instead of negotiating with them. Sounds Hitler-esque to me.
What it seems to me is that Bush is consistent with casting his delusions upon his own countrymen by his deceiving us. He's clouded our national democratic thought with his inability to carry out effective foreign relations with Iran, when in fact Iran, and Hamas have both asked to talk with the U.S. leadership. Mr. Bush, all your are doing is scaring the American people into war. You don't want a solution to peace in the Middle East. You don't want democracy either, because you don't even lead through it. The evidence is there, and no matter what you broadcast across the media, we the American, people know we're being deceived. This whole matter in the Middle East, has been, for eight horrific years, a failure, throwing up flags of inconsistencies and corruption. If there is a plan, where is it? What plan are you hiding, Mr. Bush?
